The Lighthouse Community Center serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning community of Southern Alameda County.

Our goal is to provide a safe and substance-free meeting place with social, informational and community awareness programs for the entire LGBTQ community and our allies regardless of age, race, or religion.

The Center began operations in July 2000 and now provides low-cost, community friendly meeting space, a free lending library, community bulletin board, and sponsors support programs.

The Center sponsors a number of men, women, youth, and senior programs and hosts Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

The Lighthouse serves as a meeting place for Alameda County Leather Corps, East Bay Network, Imperial Star Empire, Grand Ducal Council, and others.

The Center also organizes lectures, community art shows, health fairs, legal workshops, and other special events.

Come listen to music, check out the library, surf the web, have a cup of coffee, meet a friend, or just hang out.
