Lighthouse Community Programs

The following programs are either sponsored by or supported by the Lighthouse Community Center.  A brief description is provided for each program with program coordinator contact information.

Violence Prevention Program (collaboration with the Transgender Law Center and Community United Against Violence. Funded by Kaiser Permanente.

LGBT Parent Engagement Program in the Hayward Unified School District (collaboration with the Hayward Unified School District and Our Family Coalition. Funded by the East Bay Community Foundation.

Transgender Health Access Project in Alameda County (collaboration with the Transgender Law Center) Funded by the California Endowment and the California Wellness Foundation.

Support Groups

Men's Support Group - First and Third Thursday of each month - 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. @ Lighthouse

The Men's Support Group focuses on issues that are relevant to gay and bisexual men in today's rapidly evolving society.  It provides a safe place for men to share concerns, questions and experiences.  It also offers occasions for casual fellowship and a lot of laughter.  The group is great if you have questions and concerns or if you just want to have a good time hanging out with the guys.

Women's Support Group - First and Third Friday of each month - 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. @ Lighthouse

Transgender Support Group - 2nd Friday, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Domestic Violence Support Group - 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
