The Lighthouse Community Center is in the initial stages of developing a 24/7 Bully Hotline to serve ALL Children and Young Adults in Southern Alameda County.  We are well aware of the ill effects and the feeling of helplessness that children and young adults experience from bullying at the hand of their peers.  Be excepting the responsibility to protect these children and young adults in Southern Alameda County from bullying, the Lighthouse Community Center is requesting you take the 24/7 Challenge to help make this service a reality.

The 24/7 Challenge is designed to fund the initiation of the bully hotline and the continued support for existing and development of new Lighthouse programs and services.  With the continued downturn in the economy and the reduction in foundation grants, it has become more difficult for the Lighthouse Community Center to survive without the generous donation of our individual donors.  The 24/7 Challenge request that you donate $24.00 and pledge to find seven (7) others to donate $24.00 to the Lighthouse Community Center.  To participate, click on the Q Giving emblem below and remember to pass the Challenge on to seven (7) others.

Amount Raised as of June 19th 2009 - $864.00

Through your donations to the Lighthouse Community Center become a Lighthouse keeper.  The Lumens from these bay area lighthouses guide lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and our allies to the Lighthouse Community Center, in the heart of the San Francisco Bay.  Our mission is to be a Resource Center and catalyst for community building, providing communication, education, support, social activities and programs in a safe and substance-free environment.  With reduced funding from grants we are depending on personal donation more than ever.

Your combined annual giving will allow you to be the Honorary Keeper to the following Bay Area Lighthouses:

Up to $999.00 - Alcatraz Island Light
